two days in DC

We have arrived in Washington DC finally! its 3am...
after a nine hour sleep we went shopping.
The taxi driver on the way to this mall got lost so we got the cab cheaper. I got a whole bag full of clothes and a pair of sneakers.
there is an ice cream shop down the road from our hotel it is called Larrys homemade icecream, it is delicious. I reccomend it if you go to DC.
Today we went to Lincoln Memorial, the Museum of Natural History and we saw the Hope Diamond the biggest diamond in the world. This guy cut it to be smaller when it was way bigger, who would do that?
We went on a boring tour that mum and dad liked.
I liked it when we went out to see the whitehouse, that was awesome.
check out our photos here. I got a giant pretzel and saw a squirrel on the whitehouse lawn.

  1. I hope you went with an empty suitcase to store all your shopping in! Pleased to hear you are having a fun time (love the 'boring tour' comment, had a giggle at that!). Those are some clever photo's at the Washington monument.

Dave is really impressed with the squirrel picture, he wants to know who took it.

  2. Hi Lily, We really miss you. We have moved to Room 1 now and we just love it. We have fluffy walls that are all blue, no scaffolding!!! (yay) and lovely sun coming through our windows all day. We have read your blog and love the photos, especially the squirrel, you in front of the monument and the museum photos. We will keep an eye out for your next blog entries. Can't wait to hear about Disneyland. Good luck on the roller coaster.....
